The (DBDDAK) today joined the family of a boda boda rider who tragically lost his life following a violent attack in which his motorcycle was stolen.
Although the deceased was not a member of our Association, he was a valued participant in the boda boda sector. His untimely death is a loss to the entire riding community and serves as a reminder of the security risks faced daily by hardworking riders across the country.
Our delegation visited the bereaved family to convey our heartfelt condolences, offer moral support, and stand with them in this moment of profound grief as they prepare for his burial tomorrow in Kitui County.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the family, relatives, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. We pray that God grants them strength, comfort, and peace as they navigate this difficult period.
The Association also urges the relevant security agencies to conduct thorough investigations and ensure that those responsible for this senseless act are swiftly apprehended and prosecuted. The safety and security of boda boda riders must remain a national priority.
