STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS FOR A SAFER GIGIRI DIVISION

The Digital Boda Driver And Deliveries Association (DBDDAK) was honoured to host the OCPD, Gigiri Division, for a consultative engagement on enhancing security, public safety, and community collaboration.

We sincerely appreciate the leadership of the OCPD and commend all Officers Commanding Stations (OCSs) and officers serving across Gigiri Division for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to protecting lives and property.

DBDDAK remains committed to working closely with the National Police Service , residents’ associations in Runda, Kitisuru, Loresho, Spring Valley, and other neighbourhoods within the Division, as well as businesses and other stakeholders, to strengthen community policing and improve public safety.

Through digital identification and verification of riders and delivery personnel, intelligence sharing, and continuous stakeholder engagement, we shall leverage technology to identify genuine operators, deny criminals the opportunity to misuse motorcycles, and enhance accountability within the sector.

Security is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can build safer neighbourhoods, strengthen public confidence, improve emergency response, and create a secure environment for residents, businesses, visitors, riders, and delivery personnel.

Together, through partnership, professionalism, and technology, we will continue making Gigiri Division one of the safest divisions in Kenya.
